Behind the brand, SANTE in Busan

Dr.SANTE is made by a Korean company that has been working with professional skin-care salons since 2003. Here is who they are.

Dr.SANTE is the skin-care brand of SANTE Cosmetics Co., Ltd. The company is based in Busan, South Korea’s second city, on the south-east coast. It plans, designs, develops, makes and distributes its own products, so the same company is responsible from first idea to finished jar.

The name

“Sante” is French for health. SANTE’s stated mission is “Realizing Healthy Beauty”: gentle formulas and carefully chosen ingredients, made for skin that is stressed or easily upset. The brand’s aim, in its own words, is skin care people can keep using for years, not a passing trend.

Built with professionals

SANTE grew up working with professional skin-care salons. After two decades alongside salons and their clients, the team’s conclusion was simple: comfortable, healthy-looking skin starts with hydration and soothing. That belief led to the Azulene Soother line. The range includes large 500 ml professional sizes as well as smaller ones.

The four main series

SANTE organises its range into four colour-coded series.

  • Azulene Soother (blue): the signature line, built on chamomile flower water.
  • Artemisia Aka (green): a mugwort-based line for oily and blemish-prone skin.
  • Collagen Leader (pink): a firming-focused line, not yet part of the New Zealand range.
  • Hyalquad Core (aqua): hyaluronic acid for skin that feels dry.

There are also oils, sets, a home fragrance diffuser and, for professionals, devices.

Coming to New Zealand

Dr.SANTE New Zealand is the official New Zealand distributor. We bring a selected part of the Korean range here, so some products you may have seen online or in Korea are not on this site.

We work in writing. If you have a question about the brand, the range or becoming a stockist, send it through the form on the Contact page and we will reply in writing.

Why we chose it

Dr.SANTE New Zealand exists to make the brand easy to find, easy to trust and easy to ask about. That means a plain site, stockists you can name, and written answers, so you can come back to what you were told. Korean skin care can be hard to follow from the outside; the aim here is to put the facts in one place, with their sources, and to say clearly what the products are and are not.

The Azulene and chamomile page explains the signature ingredient. The Authenticity page explains how to recognise genuine Dr.SANTE products.
